Day Trip to Hell’s Gate National Park 2024/2025
Introduction:
You have the early morning pick up from your Nairobi for a full day of the Hell’s Gate National Park. The driving time is 2 hours.
The Park is named after a narrow break in the cliffs, once a tributary of a prehistoric lake that fed early humans in the Rift Valley.
Hell’s Gate National Park covers roughly 26 square miles (68.25 square kilometers)
You may spot the buffalo, zebra, eland, hartebeest, Thomson’s gazelle and baboons at the Hell’s Gate National Park.
The Cycling Tour:
Your trip to Hell’s Gate National includes full coverage of your bicycle for the cycling experience.
There will be a safari vehicle right behind you throughout the trek just in case you get tired and feel like no more walking.
Your first stop will be the spectacular Fisher’s Tower, where you may choose to ascend the 45m tower.
Equipment can be rented on the spot, and all climbs are guided by local professionals.
The Park hosts several bird species including the rare Lammergeyer vulture which shares the park with over 103 other species of birds, including the incredible Verreaux Eagle.
The Gorge Tour:
After the Cycling Tour of the park. You are guided to Hike and Trek through the nearby gorges.
At the Gorge you view the ‘devil’s kitchen’ and the ‘devil’s bathroom’.
You will also view natural hot springs and geysers.
Game Viewing:
Spectacular scenery including the towering cliffs, water-gouged gorges, stark rock towers.
You have scrub clad volcanoes and belching plumes of geothermal steam make it one of the most atmospheric Parks in Africa.
Geothermal Well’s Tour:
After the Hiking Expedition, visit the geothermal hot springs and appreciate the natural wonders here.
Swim in a Natural Spa:
Take a swim at the natural Spa; right inside the park. Lunch is also included.
